Starting this weekend, the Sundays after Jesus' Epiphany shift from spotlighting His miracles to focusing on His teachings, as we prepare to commemorate His atoning work during the seasons of Lent and Easter! Details on opportunities for worship, education, fellowship and service are below.
WORSHIP AND CLASS SCHEDULE
The Divine Service continues weekly at 10:00 am on Sundays. Sunday School & Bible Class are held beforehand at 9:00 am, beginning with a joint opening in the Fellowship Hall.

CARES (Caring, Active, Reaching, Encouraging Sisters in Christ) continue their weekly sessions on Wednesdays at 9:45 am.
LifeLight: Judges, a 9-week survey of the Biblical book, continues Tuesdays at 10:30 am. Contact Shirley Hoese for information.

Altar Guild this Saturday, February 15th at 9:30 am. We'll be planning for Lent, Easter & beyond. New members welcome; contact Carol Mushong for details!
Urdu Worship Service this Saturday, February 15th at 5:00 pm. Led by Pastor Afzal Masih, this service will be held in the fellowship hall, with a Pakistani meal following. Messiah members and friends are welcome to attend!
Sandy's Tradition Thursday, February 20th at 11:30 am at Olive Garden on Alpine. Contact Judy Gerke so reservations can be made.
Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 5th. Lenten midweek services will be held on Wednesdays at 11:00 am and 7:00 pm from March 5th through April 9th. Our midweek focus will be The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, drawn from the Four Gospels. Watch for details on Lenten midweek suppers coming soon!

Meijer Simply Give Campaign through Saturday, March 29th. Proceeds benefit North End Community Ministry. Simply Give Cards are available at our Welcome Center or Plainfield Meijer checkouts. (Double Match days are Saturday, March 1st and Saturday, March 22nd; for every $10 Simply Give card contributed those days, Meijer will give a contribution of $20, bringing the total to $30 for a customer contribution).
Watch for our 2nd annual Mother's Day Plant Sale coming in March! Sponsored by Messiah's Board of Outreach, proceeds will benefit the Grand Rapids Pregnancy Resource Center.
Concordia University-Chicago's Wind Symphony will present a free concert at St. Matthew Lutheran Church on Sunday, March 2nd at 4:00 pm. Conducted by Dr. Richard Fischer and committed to the finest traditional and contemporary sacred and secular repertoire, CUC's Wind Symphony has performed in schools, churches, and concert halls in 43 states, Canada, Eastern Europe, and China. A freewill offering will be taken.
West Michigan Lutheran High School’s Annual Celebrate Fundraiser will be on Friday, March 21st from 5:30 to 9:00 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church. To reserve your tickets or donate please go to the Celebrate2025 website or call the WMLHS office at 616-455-2200.
