Messiah continues our weekly schedule with the Divine Service on Sunday, January 12th at 10:00 am. The service is scheduled to be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/messiahgr, our website and our Facebook page. Sunday School & Bible Class will be held beforehand at 9:00 am, with a joint opening for both groups in our Fellowship Hall.

Baptism in Christ carefully balances the terror of death & the exhilaration of resurrection. Sin is dismantled, disarmed & destroyed. The sinner, engrafted now to Christ, becomes a new creation, baptized & resurrected like Jesus, alive in God & claimed by Him forever. The realm of death cannot posess the life of a believer. John boldly engages in this ministry of proclamation & divine action. Even Jesus submits to Baptism, receiveing the declaration of His Father, “You are My beloved Son.” (Psalm 2:7–11, 12c & Isaiah 42:1a; Isaiah 43:1-7; Romans 6:1-11; Luke 3:15-22)
