Messiah concludes its Lenten midweek schedule with prayer services on Wednesday, April 9th at 11:00 am (Matins) and 7:00 pm (Vespers). The 7:00 pm service is scheduled to be livestreamed at www.youtube.com/messiahgr, our website and our Facebook page. A Potluck Supper will be held before Vespers, in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00 pm; bring a dish to pass!

Our 2025 Lenten meditations are based on The Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ, According to the Four Gospels. In addition to praying Psalm 126 on April 2nd, we’ll focus on Calvary. We’ll also sing selected stanzas of March’s Hymn of the Month each week:

Thou hast suffered great affliction
    And hast borne it patiently,
Even death by crucifixion,
    Fully to atone for me;
Thou didst choose to be tormented
That my doom should be prevented.
    Thousand, thousand thanks shall be,
    Dearest Jesus, unto Thee.
